Kerry can often be found sketching concepts on napkins or note cards as he tries to dial in his thoughts and share them. He claims that his best work happens in java-infused creative sessions, when he’s divinely disturbed in the middle of the night or when he’s “in the zone” clearing some serious technical obstacles in the woods on his mountain bike.
Kerry was privileged to be the visionary and architect of the original “I Vote Values” concept and initiative, which was the genesis for the “values voter” movement. He is a partner and co-founder of Giving Of Life, an exciting grant opportunity for ministries. He recently served as V.P. for Public Relations and Marketing with the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission. He has served as PR Director for Southeastern Seminary and PR Coordinator for Criswell College. He was also a Visual Coordinator in the Dallas corporate headquarters of Neiman Marcus in their Visual Planning & Presentation division and was part of the team that designed and opened several of their new stores. For ten years while in Dallas, he was president of The Protégé Group Inc., a marketing and design firm.
His 25+ years in ministry and business have been devoted to brand development. He’s passionate about helping organizations translate their vision and mission into communication that resonates with their constituents through branding, strategic thinking, marketing, public relations and visual presentation.
He has a B.S. in Education concentrating on design and technology from Northeastern State University and a M.A. in Theology and History from Criswell College.
Kerry, and his wife, Deborah, reside in Tennessee with their three beautiful children.
